  • What sources does MarketOutsider use?
  • We look at multiple sources: online newspapers, financial weblogs, press releases-- more all the time.
  • How do you decide which sources to use?
  • For the moment we are manually adding sources. If you want us to consider a new source of information, please let us know at info@marketoutsider.com
  • Do you filter out un-trustworthy sources?
  • We currently are doing manual filtering. If you are have a problem with one of our sources please let us know at info@marketoutsider.com
  • A particular (company, person, etc.) wasn't recognized in this article, what gives?
  • Our systems are still learning how to read, and will occasionally miss something. You can either wait for the systems to figure it out, or let us know the article and the entity in a Bug Report.
  • Why do you think this article is positive or negative?
  • Our systems look at the language in the articles and earnestly try to determine if the author is trying to be positive or negative, or if the news describes a positive or negative event. It certainly isn't infallible, some things can still confuse it. If you find a particularly egregious problem, please to let us know by filing a Bug Report.
